lets not give up hope that the SHOW WILL GO ON!!! Like @noodles and @Enfamous said maybe Chris is just venting right now. I can only imagine what he is feeling right now. Everytime it seems like he’s finally turning a corner and putting the past behind him, some other challenge appears. But like the saying go’s “THIS TOO SHALL PASS”. For all we know Chris’ TEAM is probably working their butts off behind the sceen, talking to the appropriate officials or authority in the UK to make things happen. Maybe that’s why Chris deleted the tweet about the concerts being canceled. Maybe after he got over the initial shock, he realized all is not lost and maybe he will be granted the visa to enter the UK.
Family we must keep the faith and don’t give up hope. Chris will prevail.

@anneB…..I haven’t commented on this site in a long time, came thru just to wish him a happy birthday and moved on but I have to say your comment was dead on and I hope Chris read what you said and take it to heart. The radios not playing Chris music has nothing to do with the fans not requesting but orders the Program Directors of these stations received to ban his music. Chris situation is politics at its finest and the fans need to come to grips with this. I’m not saying don’t support but Chris came back to fast and after this he needs to go away for awhile. Fans you have understand if you guys were heartbroken yesterday imagine how Chris felt his state of mind is important. I don’t believe for one second his career is over but Chris needs to clean house internally because regardless what anyone thinks someone on his team dropped the ball. I agree with you @HOPE. This is so much bigger than the BET Awards, Mr. Twitter and sending him positive Twitter messages. There are two things taking place here: (1) as you pointed out @HOPE there are people with power in the industry keeping Chris down. But (2) he’s still paying for his actions a year ago. The fact of the matter is…..bluntly put, he beat the shit out of Rihanna, that is a violent crime and everyone is still not willing to just look over that. Martha Stewart was also denied a visa into London as well due to her criminal record, so it’s not just about Europe being a bully. And even though the violence was mutual, the fact that the picture surfaced was the naill in the coffin for this just blowing over. Had that picture not been “leaked” I don’t think there would still be SO much backlash for Chris, I honestly don’t. I, just like all of you, feel like enough is enough and a person has to be allowed to learn and move on from a mistake. I’m not understanding why the media and the public are NOW so resolute and vigilant about domestic violence, when there are MANY celebrities who have done the same thing (habitually mind you) and they were still allowed to come back and do their craft whether it be music, acting, sports, etc. But anyway….

For his own peace of mind, Chris might need to lay low for a little while, focus on writing for other artists (writing is REALLY where the money is anyway) and maybe try to do more movies depending on how Takers does. I believe he came back WAY too quickly giving people the impression that he didn’t understand the seriousness in what he did. I’m not saying that that is true, but perception truimphs reality. He has to work on making his image likeable again, even though he won’t be able to win everybody back over but that’s not the goal. I agree that he needs to COMPLETELY clean house and re-evaluate the direction he wants his artistry to take (i.e., does he want to be hood rapping Chris, oversexed Chris, etc.). And once he cleans house and has the right management under his belt, he needs to let go of control a bit to them. The damaging tweets, emotional outbursts, roasting bloggers, just the general “I do/say what I please” attitude has to stop because it reinforces the perception of him not learning, feeling entitled, etc and makes him not likeable. Sometimes you have to think outside of the stan framework and try to understand where some of the criticism is coming from and if there is any credency to it.

I really am at a loss over this and seeing the fall of Chris is beginning to be too much of an emotional rollercoaster for me; my heart genuinely hurts for this young man. I can only imagine how he feels. Advertisements and touring is where many artists make a good deal of money. We all know that no company wants Chris advertising any product for them right now, so not being able to tour in Europe hurts his pockets deep. You all have to start thinking more from a financial standpoint: his CD didn’t sell like expected, his US tour did poor, all he had was international venues to generate income. Like I said, this is so much bigger than I think people are realizing.

I generally think like you, and that includes your longer comment above. This latest slap in his face (re: the UK tour) should wake us up, and you explain why. My concern has less to do with his his financial status and more with his status and pride as an artist. Is he really in danger of going broke? I know he IS in danger of not getting back on radio for a while, and in danger of never shaking that negative image of him that is out there. I hope and pray he can get better guidance on his comeback strategies, find someone to keep him calm and at some in peace in spite of the challenges, and I hope he can get on the road again.

Re: BET – hey, Chris himself had a twitter where he said “its all cool -good luck to everyone”. I’m still just happy that he IS being recognized as one of the top three American RnB artist – and hopefully as THE top. Screw the UK. At least Jason DeAsshole is listed nowhere in the BET lists (I heard an interview he did, and he actually laughed when asked about Chris Brown’s situation – truly made me hate the guy, in addition to him being a joke of an artist).

You suggest Chris follow the examples of Kobe, or Tiger – but I feel its that ( illegally released) picture after ‘the assault’ that truly turned Chris’s situation into a big story, a story that got totally out of control. The fact that it involved Rihanna made the story even bigger. The public, the music industry can’t seem to shake it. Sports is a different game. Tiger? – people are used to cheating husbands, but scared of violence. And do people care much about his wife? who is she? Kobe? i don’t remember what he did. He is now simply the best (or 2nd?) b-ball player in the NBA, and has the support of a great team and a massive market, and they cannot win without him. Its not so straightforward with the music industry

I agree with Shalanda. One day it seems like he’s going strong and then another barrier comes us against him. I really wish we could email his team or managers to find out exactly what they are doing. Do they not care? Research? or anything? Chris is no different from any other artist who has made a terrible mistake. Others have come back, but I don’t understand why his team didn’t follow the way that would work the best for Chris through it all? Personally, relasing his album, numerous interviews, and having twitter was not in his best interest. I LOVE Graffiti and felt like it was a good piece of work that has not been given its due because of his situation. The fact that he has never gotten in any trouble before and took immediate responsibility lets me know that he understands his actions, which is why I go hard for Chris. I wish the people closest to him would go above and beyond for him. Sometimes hard in your face Truth and Reality is what a person needs so they can make the proper moves. He’s in an industry that can kill your spirit if you are not grounded. If i could say one thing to Chris, I would tell him to JUST STAND. I noticed that people keep saying, “If Chris just tell the truth about what happened between him and His Ex, maybe things would be diifferent. Well to those people I want to ask these questions. Have you ever thought that maybe Chris wanted to talk about certain details of that night but, maybe legally he is not allow to. Remember his case never went to trial infront of a jury. He took a plea deal infront of the Judge, that was worked out between His lawyer and the lawyer of his EX. Maybe him being silent about the details was apart of the plea agreement worked out, that allowed Chris to get the 5 years probation and 6 months community service/ domestic violence classes without seeing jail time. Who knows, maybe he will talk about the details when he is legally able to. Maybe as a court order he is not able to speak bad about his EX. Remember the lawyers of his EX could have pushed for a jury trial and Chris could have gotten real jail time. However a deal was worked out between both parties and probably as apart of that deal maybe Chris isn’t allow to speak bad or put his Ex in a bad light. Yes this sucks and may seem unfair that his Ex was able to tell her side of the story but remember he could of been in danger of serious jail time had the case went to trial and he had a jury of peers that were simpathetic to his Ex at the time. So we should be greatful that Chris is free and not locked up. That He still doing what he does best and that is making great music for his fans and being his cute, goofy, wonderful, handsome, talented self. And like I had said in my other posts over the past weeks. Chris will prevail, He will be back on top, and the Storm that is around Him— Well, THIS TOO SHALL PASS.

There is no plea agreement because if there was Chris would have been advised to say that::: “There is a stipulation in the plea agreement that forbids me to talk about what happened between Rihanna and I “….The real fact is that Chris was very naive and he believed that people would be “fair” to him so he decided to be noble to someone that didn’t deserve it.

Chris would have been better off if he’d told what that happened that night because he was already behind the 8 ball when TMZ released that picture.Infact I’m still trying to figure out why he has not sued TMZ and LAPD for releasing the picture because it has been most detrimental to him.

@ michelle – Really? I thought the U.S. leg of his F.A.T. starting back in October 2009 till December 2009 was cancelled due to very poor ticket sales. He chose smaller, more intimate venues and still was not able to generate the ticket sales needed to go on with the tour. I know the show in my state was cancelled at least from the tour.

@ tmama – Rihanna and her team of lawyers would NEVER have pushed for a trial because then we would have all known that she was beating the shit out of Chris herself and that would not have been good for her “I am a victim, Chris Brown is a monster” marketing ploy to boost her career. Don’t think for one second that that plea deal only benefitted Chris, there were details of that relationship that Rihanna wanted to keep hidden as well. And honestly after all of America seen Rihanna’s battered face, there is nothing that could have come out of Chris’s mouth that would have cushioned the blow. Like @CBE said, for that situation he was “damned if he did and damned if he didn’t.” Can you imagine the backlash he would have received if he got on TV and said “well she hit me first” or said anything along the lines of putting the blame on Rihanna even if it were true? I mean really, c’mon. Unless there was a picture of Chris looking battered as well, that “she hit me first” would NOT have went over well. I remember all kinds of reasons being given from (1) I was taking steroids at the time that affected my hormones to (2) “I just blacked out, I don’t remember what happened (which hurt him just as much as the “She hit me first”), he should have just owned up to his actions, apologized, took a small break (NOT drop an album right around the same time as Rihanna like everything was fine and dandy) and then came back towards the end of this year. I think there would have been better reception for Chris and his album, again that’s just MY opinion.

@Shalanda, maybe the plea deal did benefit both of them. Maybe there’s a bunch crazy shit that happen that night that both of them want kept secret. All I was just saying is that maybe there are legal reasons as to why he may not be able to talk about that night in detail.

And I’m sorry @ No Name Given, but Chris’s career would have been in even worse shape now if he would have attempted to pass the blame onto Rihanna saying she went psycho on him. With all that Chris has done so far to pay for his mistakes, the media and people in general STILL don’t think he’s taken responsibility for his actions, so no the best thing for him would not have been to say “well hey she hit me first so there!” First of all, he’s a man and many people would say that as a man you shouldn’t hit a woman, I’m sure we’ve ALL had that ingrained in our heads from when we were little itty bit girls, so that works against him. But secondly and most importantly…….there’s photographic evidence of what Chris did to Rihanna, his words automatically would not mean shit. After the photo “leaked” and the details of not only him punching her with his fists, but biting her and choking her till she almost blacked out surfaced, there is again NOTHING Chris could have said that would have garnered sympathy, empathy or anything else from people. There was too much outrage and shock. The best thing he could have done was own up to his actions, took a break and then came back. It’s unfortunate but the picture leaking pretty much backed him into a corner as far as trying to tell his side of the story, no one would want to hear it then and they certainly wouldn’t want to hear it now.

One i would like to speak on where someone said chris said f@# Europe first off i follow his tweets and my phone beeps everytime he sends one.
