Chris Brown performed at the 2011 Springfest in Miami on May 29 other artist that performed were Trey Songz, Keri Hilson, Rick Ross, Jeremih, Miguel, Big Sean and more. While performing “Take You Down”, one lucky female fan received a lap dance..via @ NecoleBitchie.com for the video.
T-Pain and Chris Brown have teamed up for “Best Love Song,” a similar sonic duel over the affections of one special groupie girl.
The central conceit finds the two singers both trying to sing their “Best Love Song” to the girl, but rather than singing on two separate tracks, they collaborate. Y’know. For some reason.
“And if I wanna take her home, it’s gonna be better than what they do on the radio,” T-Pain sings. A cutthroat opening. Brown retorts,
“Turn on the lights, give me a mic/I’m about to sing and do it just as she likes.”
“Best Love Song” is only the latest in a string of hits for the duo. In 2007, the two collaborated on Brown’s ubiquitous hit “Kiss Kiss” and again in 2008 on T-Pain’s “Freeze.” “Best Love Song” comes from T-Pain’s oft-delayed fourth album rEVOLVEr. The singer has said he won’t release the album until he has a million Twitter followers.
Chris Brown brushed up on his art with a visit to the “Art in the Streets” exhibition at the Geffen Contemporary at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Los Angeles yesterday. He brought along pal Bow Wow and a camera crew as they checked out the graffiti and street displays, including a black-lit room. Breezy’s passion for art is no secret. In addition to collecting, he produces his own graffiti works.
Chris Brown earned six nominations this year, including Best Male R&B Artist, Viewer’s Choice, and Video of the Year for his #1 R&B hit “Look At Me Now.” The song, which features Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes, was also nominated in the Best Collaboration category.
Another #1 R&B hit from Brown, “Deuces,” with Tyga and Kevin McCall, is also nominated in the Best Collaboration category. Brown earns his six nod for Best Actor for his role in “Takers.”
Kevin Hart hosts the “2011 BET Awards,” airing live on June 26 from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on BET.
Despite his bodily warnings, Brown remained a trouper, telling himself to “hold it” until his performance was over. Unfortunately, the singer learned a hard lesson that day: Don’t deny nature’s calling.
“So I just remember dancing and onstage in the midst of all that, I … is it like sharted?” the pop star asked with a smile. “The crowd didn’t know it, and I had like an outfit change coming up, so I said, ‘Yeah, I can hold it out one more song,’ and this is real disgusting and too descriptive, it was just … I just remember it running down my leg.”
Even though Breezy was busy on the road to promote his debut album, the singer tells MTV that he also had experienced plenty of “reckless” fun, especially one time when he flooded his hotel room during soundcheck with a BB gun. “We were shooting the guns. We had the couches flipped up. The catering was knocked over,” Brown said of his showdown with his cousins, adding, “It was like a war zone in our room.”
“I’m just like, getting hit left, right,” Chris’ spinner DJ Babey Drew added. “I see people squatting down military-style, trying to shoot me. It was crazy.”
At one point during the battle, Chris admits he got “shot in the face” and “cried under a table,” until he pulled the trigger to a shot that would soak his entire crew.
“I waited and then I got up and I acted like I was in a movie. … I tried to shoot at the fire extinguisher thing. I’m at least 15 yards away, so I’m thinking, ‘I don’t have a chance at hitting this thing,’ ” Breezy revealed. “So I shoot … the whole room is engulfed in water.”
Chris Brown stole the spotlight on the set of “Better With the Lights Off,” his Cataracs-produced collaboration with the New Boyz for their upcoming album Too Cool to Care. A blond and tatted Breezy filmed his scenes on Wednesday (May 11) in a Los Angeles neighborhood, wearing yellow BBC ice cream bar jersey shorts, a Rocksmith Ninjas tank top, black sneakers, and red hat. He is gearing up to shoot a video for his F.A.M.E. cut “Next to You” with Justin Bieber. Check out the first on-set pics from “Lights Out” below.
