This is off topic but Michael Jackson had passed away at the age of 50. The Uchris.com staff would like to give our condolences to the Jackson family. Michael you will be missed, rest in peace. CBS will have a one hour special at 10 tonight. When you get the opportunity please sign the petition over at twitter to help Chris Brown chances of performing at an MJ tribute. It doesn’t mean because we get enough signatures that he will be able to but it never hurts to try! Thanks to Tasha for posting this.

Comment by Tyler — June 26, 2009 @ 12:19 am

I fink that because chris brown’s inspiration, mine and millions of fans around the world kindly do a big post for the michael jackson (King of Pop) as memorial kind of post to show our love and kind hearts to such an inspirational talented artist. We know that chris brown looked up to him a lot and many of my friends and people around the world have too.

It makes me sad to say this but R.I.P. Michael Jackson – The Legend

this is why chris brown should be forgiven because you never actually know when you are gonna leave this world. You only get one chance in this world why not make it a great experience. We and chris knows what chris did that night was wrong but if he can be the bigger person and admit he is wrong and tries to make a better person, then thats fine by me. I support you chris and wish you well and im sure you well

You guys should read. Twitter there’s soooooooooooooo many responds of people saying BET needs to do a tribute that the awards. And guys who’s the first person everyone is saying. Chris Breezy. It’s crazy how now everyone wants to see him.

Also there are a lot of CB being mentioned with MJ all over Twitter. People can hate all they want but they still know Chris Talent. And How he owes MJ to that.

MJ will be missed. He was the G.O.A.T in the music biz like the other G.O.A.T in Basketball. When your the Greatest, you’re the Greatest and everyone in the game looked up to MJ. He’s a legend and stand the end of time. From Hip Hop/R&B, Rock, Blues, Pop, Jaz, etc… MJ is One In A Million.

RIP. REST IN PEACE MJ.

Comment by nunya — June 26, 2009 @ 12:38 am

@Ash
Yes, if BET is gonna do a tribute, they HAVE to put Chris on stage.

Comment by Ash — June 26, 2009 @ 12:58 am

@Nunya I agree with people on Twitter. No other artist ever had the chance to come close to MJ, but CB and if BET doesn’t even consider to have Chris. It will just be sad. Considering the first name that is coming out of people’s mouth is CB, Usher and TJ. (Lets not get too ahead because NO ONE THAT TOUCHES MJ, but consider ones that can be similar too him are those 3, well just CB and Usher).

You guys should keep a track on Tweets. CB is being mentioned left and right. Some are even say. Who would of thought MJ dying could make people forgive CB. It’s he’s getting love now.

Michael Jackson will be missed…I will pray for his family in this tough time and people compared Michael Jackson to Chris Brown and even though Chris have his obstacles he is over coming Michael too had alot of fights he had to fight…I hope Chris take from Michaels strength that when people tried to tear him down Michael kept fighting……

Thank you UCHRIS…for taking time and recognizing and showing respect to one of the greatest artist our our time….

Comment by A FAN FOREVA EVA EVA... — June 26, 2009 @ 1:09 am

@ ASH; yeah I just looked on there. People are even going as far as to say Chris is next to the throne. Crazy how just yesterday everybody and their mama were hating on him. I mean, there are still haterz, but to be honest, most of them seemed to be guys–and how many guys do you know that ever really cared for Chris in the first place? No offense to any guys on this site–so…hopefully that’s a good sign. But BET would have to be out of their minds to not even ASK Chris. So, that’s basically a given; thing is, will Chris’s people allow him to do it? Hopefully, hopefully so because I know Chris would be heartbroken if he couldn’t. But then AGAIN–lol sorry I’m going back and forth–Chris is his own person so most likely he will take it. I just hope he will be accepted by the general public and I pray that, if anything, this will help him. Chris, if by ANY chance you are reading this; GIVE THAT TRIBUTE BOY! YOU KNOW THAT’S WHERE YOU BELONG. FORGET THE HATERZ FOR NOW! And I think this will remind people why Chris became famous in the first place. I think a lot of people have just forgotten how talented he is, and they focus more on his personal life than on his music. And I know this is partially what is happening because a couple of weeks ago, I was watching that video where Chris was at the beach/pool party w/ Omarion and he started dancing. I was like; OH MY GOSHHH I FORGOT HE EVEN DANCED! Yes, it was a special moment, but I am one of his biggest fans, so I know that if I am forgetting, a lot of other people are, too. Hope I’m making sense, and sorry for the long post.

Once again; R.I.P. Michael Jackson; G.O.A.T.

I am going to watch back Chris Browns VMA performance. I’m so happy that and the phone call happened between him and Mr. Michael Jackson.

BET Awards need to work overtime.

I just sign the twitter petition everybody spread it around.Know matter what happen with chris and his legal matters. His the only one. Not Omarion or Usher, But Chirs Breezy. It’s so sad all over the news and mtv are playing his videos.

Comment by Nadia — June 26, 2009 @ 1:32 am

I’m jsut so shock right now, I can not believe this. I think this was a wake up call when everybody still had hate on one person. Like I said I don’t hate Chris, I hate what he did. I had some huge feeling that sooner or later something really bad is going to happened my predictions I wasn’t so sure it something bad was going to happened with Chris or someone else. I just had that wierd and bad feeling now this Michael Jackson died today. I know Chris is feeling like shit more than ever now. Because Michael that was his #1 idol. I do agree on you guys I think BET needs to pay tribute to Michael Jackosn and ask Chris to perform one of his songs. I know it will also be some controversy, but it will do justice for Michael. Michael wouldn’t care anyways he loves Chris, and Chris loves him.

Comment by buttababy — June 26, 2009 @ 1:36 am

Does anyone have a link to the BET petition?? (If there is one??)

I am praying for Micheal and his family to get through this hard and differcult time it is very emotional. I saw Letoya Jackson (Michael’s sister) I saw her on tmz and that pic is horrible she looks so heartbreaking. My prayers and heart goes out to the Jacksons Family they been through so much. I’m glad Michael has strong supportive fans all his fans been with him from good times to bad times to ugly times.

I remember on the Vibe magazine interview where Chris said Michael Jackson called him and thank him for being such an great entertainer just like him. Michael said it hisself that Chris is a “bright shing star” google that up if you don’t believe me and Chris always wanted to work with Michael. Chris said he was in talks to work with Michael on some record, but I don’t know that ever happened. It is so sad I know Chris is in so much pain now you know his case, his career, his future, his reputation, and now his idol had passed away. I know he is not feeling good right now. God bless them both Michael and Chris.

Comment by A FAN FOREVA EVA EVA... — June 26, 2009 @ 1:50 am

@ Nadia; on Twitter, I heard like five people say Chris and JT were on MJ’s comeback album. I doubt this, but I’m going to pray it’s true. Then, at least Chris would have that.

Gosh, I am just praying for MJ’s family and I pray that Chris is okay. He’s had to deal with A LOT and yes he’s strong, but everybody has a breaking point. Keep Your Head Up, Chris!

Comment by Caroline — June 26, 2009 @ 1:58 am

R.I.P MJ…

I’m sure they’ll honor MJ at the BET awards…but the awards are Sunday. How can they put together something big enough for MJ in time? I mean this is MJ we’re talking about….it needs to be the GREATEST tribute EVERRRRRRRRRRRR. MJ is the hero of legends so I mean…what can BET come up in just 3 days that will suit the KING? I don’t want anything simple n cute…It should be outrageous and stunning. BET might want to wait to do a tribute so they can go alllll out. Definitely mention him and do video footage, because he’s the king, but maybe they’ll do an entire tribute show later dedicated to MJ when they have time to make sure it’s perfect.

Comment by tasha — June 26, 2009 @ 3:03 am

post the petition somewhere and I got a negative response. I agree they should got all out and a have a tribute show. I can’t watch cnn, bet, mtv it’sso sad.

Comment by Ash — June 26, 2009 @ 3:23 am

Hit up Bet Awards 09 twitter. They are asking for ideas of who and what they should do for Michael as their tribute. http://twitter.com/BETAwards

Comment by Nadia — June 26, 2009 @ 3:31 am

@ Tasha, Hello. What do you mean you have a negative response? I think people needs to shut up. I know Michael will love Chris performing his songs. Michael claimed that Chris is a little version of him. If Michael Jackson said that then people and his fans needs to realize to respect Michael’s comment. I will like Usher make a tributte as well, but I don’t know I mean it’s up to them. I have seen the petition and the signing are going up. If they will let Chris perform all eyes on him again and the amount of pressure to perform a tribute for Michael and he still has the media and the public’s backlash so if he does perform it will have everybody to talk about in a good way and a negative way.

If BET will not let Chris perform for Michael’s tribute then I bet you 100% MTV will let Chris perform for a Michael Jackson’s tribute because every since the incident with Rihanna. MTV has been fair for both Rihanna and Chris. If I was part of BET I will let Chris to make that tribute if they are all about ratings then that will make the best rating they will ever had at the BET awards mark my word.

Comment by Nadia — June 26, 2009 @ 3:35 am

I don’t have a twitter so everybody that has a twitter make sure to twit them up for Chris to be one of the performers for Michael Jackson’s tribute if he is not one of them then it will kind of fill empty, people are going to be like “who’s missing out of this group”? and I know BET don’t want their viewers to say that and complaint about it.

Comment by tasha — June 26, 2009 @ 3:41 am

I just join to sign that petition. how do I comment on bet twitter.

Comment by tasha — June 26, 2009 @ 3:51 am

I did it. I put chris name and usher.

Comment by Tracie — June 26, 2009 @ 3:54 am

I know we are all emotional right now, but I just don’t know how having Chris on stage at the BET Awards might mess up his “comeback” Don’t get me wrong I would LOVE to see him dance in tribute to the King of Entertainment, but I’m just not sure about the timing it’s too soon (this Sunday?)…IDK. RIP Micheal I’ve been listening to your music all day.

Comment by Tracie — June 26, 2009 @ 3:57 am

They are talking about Chris on MTV right now and how he always gave tribute to MJ at his concerts and he has MJ down to a T. It’s really exciting to hear his name in a positive light. MJ in life and death bringing joy.

Comment by ME — June 26, 2009 @ 4:12 am

James Brown died December 25, Aaliyah died August 25, Left Eye died April 25, Micheal Jackson died June 25…25 x 4 = 100. How random right?

Comment by Jeffrie — June 26, 2009 @ 4:29 am

They most definetly should get chris to a tribute but just not now
chris is still emotionally distressed with his own problems.
but they should air an hour special on him doind michael jackson tributes

Comment by Ash — June 26, 2009 @ 4:36 am

The petition is going up fast. It’s at 1100+ and still moving.

Comment by ME — June 26, 2009 @ 4:45 am

I just think Sunday is too soon for Chris to perform for any reason.

Comment by tasha — June 26, 2009 @ 4:53 am

so far 1312. Chris and his people should be informed about this.

Comment by Aja — June 26, 2009 @ 4:57 am

They should totally get CB!! He’s soooooo awesome! :)

R.I.P. Michael Jackson

Comment by kathy — June 26, 2009 @ 5:08 am

U guys think he could get booed??? If he did perform? Seems crazy.

Comment by Ash — June 26, 2009 @ 5:09 am

CB gave his praises to MJ. Via MTV.

One of the artists of today that has garnered the most comparisons to a young Michael Jackson is Chris Brown. Like Jackson, Brown has been called a “complete package,” combining fashion sense, singing and dancing talent. Brown paid an amazing homage to the timeless icon at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards, mimicking MJ’s iconic moves.

“Michael Jackson is the reason why I do music and why I am an entertainer,” Brown said in a statement. “I am devastated by this great loss, and I will continue to be humbled and inspired by his legacy. My prayers are with his family. Michael will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. He’s the greatest … the best ever. No one will ever be better.”

Comment by Ash — June 26, 2009 @ 5:10 am

Comment by Nadia — June 26, 2009 @ 5:50 am

@ Kathy, Hello. But we shouldn’t worried about that if he is going to get booed, remember this isn’t about Chris this is about the King of Pop Michael Jackson. If Chris make a tribute for Michael by performing then it will be ignorant for the audience to booed him in such way, that just in case their booing Michael if so. I think everybody needs to do a standing ovation for Michael and for Chris to perform the tribute. I think it will be a disguisting time for booing somebody that is paying a tribute for a great loss.

Comment by CBsupport — June 26, 2009 @ 6:26 am

i agree with Nadia, but i dont know its too soon on BET but whether its on BET or not Chris should definatly do a tribute maybe it could be on MTV again or something, im not sure when but he should definatly do it, but i still signed the petiton anyway and that way we can show chris our support
RIP Michael

rest in peace…MJ..i write this in tears and disbelieve, you are a legend who’s life is catch so short and taken from us before we could truly celebrate you.

you were lonely and lived a very difficult live and that tears my heart apart i was hoping your comeback concert will be the beginning of a beatiful life for you and you could finally have a happy long life before moving on….R.I.P. Legend.

i truly hope the media & the public will back up from celebrity and realise that these are HUMAN BEINGS with feelings and susceptible to hurt, depression and end up taking solace in dangerous habits that could end their life so early like MJ.

i am so devastated, i just cant believe MJ is gone just like that.

Sunday’s BET Awards To Honor Michael Jackson

June 26, 2009 3:17 p.m. EST

Anthony Jones – Celebrity News Service Contributor

Los Angeles, CA (CNS) – The BET Awards, scheduled to air live on Sunday, are going to focus their efforts on celebrating the life and music of Michael Jackson. BET chairman Debra L. Lee says Sunday’s show is dedicated to the King of Pop.

“Michael’s influence is felt every day in so many ways at BET Networks, and it’s been that way throughout our network’s entire 29-year history,” Lee said in a statement. “We watched him grow up, and like everyone around the world, he feels like he is a member of our family.”

“He will be missed more than we can say…but his legend and memory live on in the artists, musicians, producers, dancers, fans, and everyone else who looks to him for inspiration,” Lee continued. “Our annual BET Awards show, scheduled for this Sunday in Los Angeles, is dedicated to Michael Jackson and will pay tribute to his legacy.”

Many celebrities are in talks to pay tribute to the singer, including controversial performer Chris Brown. Brown, a longtime Jackson fan, has previously performed a “Thriller” tribute for Jackson, as well as performing bits of “Billie Jean” during an MTV performance.

The 2009 BET Awards, hosted by Jamie Foxx, is set air at 8pm Sunday, June 28th and will feature performances from Beyonce, Ne-Yo, Keyshia Cole, and more.
