I was upset that BET handled this the way they did. If they were unsure about him performing, they shouldn’t of PUBLICY released a statement saying he was performing. I hate how BET has been and I have hated it for a while. THey’re so dirty and judgemental. With all the Black stars that run into some snafu, they always find a way to backstab those stars(R Kelly, and let the awards host make fun of MJ, of course until NOW that he is gone) RIP MIKE. THis network has nothing going for it all , all of the shows are corny and so stereotypical. BET does nothing to make Black people look better. They don’t let Chris perform but they let lil wayne and drake and the young money coons perform a very vulgar song WITH very very Young CHILDREN onstage. He may not see it now, but it is a good thing that he was not a part of that lack luster show. It was an EPIC FAIL!!! It was boring and Jamie Foxx….there are NO words for what a terrible host he was and not just because he made a bad joke about Chris, but because he was just horrible. He wasn’t funny, he seemed to be unorganized maybe even high. It SUCKED. That was not the stage for Chris. As you can see Neyo was really the only MJ talent to perform. Kanye sat down, Alicia Keys sat down….it was NOT a real tribute to MJ. It was a Jamie Foxx show. Chris should be glad he wasn’t a part of it even though he would have been the highlight. I dont think Viacom had anything to do with stopping BET from supporting their own people. That was there ignorant choice. Plan in simple BET is just embarassing, ghetto and has alway been for the past decade. Hence why you never see our big stars at their event. THe only reason Jay Z was there was to start a mess. Since Jay was there Beyonce had to be there and so did Kanye. You will never catch Denzel, Halle, or Will Smith at the show unless they need some mad publicity. Even Katt Williams don’t get down with them. MJ was the King of Pop and I’m sure the channels who focus mostly on pop, VH1 and MTV, will be doing a much better tribute with awesome performers like Justin Timberlake, Madonna, Mariah Carey, Usher, Christina Aquilera, U2, Black Eye Peas, and much more big named celebrities that Mike considered his friends. Maybe our prez will drop by with the family. And the show would definitely have Chris Brown because the only people who are tripping about the whole incident is our own kind. If TRL was still live, I’m sure Chris would have been on 4-6 times already. Plus by having Chris on the next tribute by possibly VH1 or MTV, they would basically be telling BET we support your own when you don’t, slowing crushing BET rep even more. If cover girl doesn’t like it, they can get drop as well, but more than likely they would drop Rhianna then lose a client like MTV,NBC,ABC,or VH1
