Just finish watching TAKER it was pretty good movie tho but i think T.I could of have brought it in better but other than that it was ok…. but other then that chris did really good on his acting i must say

I’m going to see Takers tomorrow (gotta be opening weekend) with my mom. I was going to bring more people but I am NOT paying for them ($10.50 a person) nor listening to them tell me how lame the movie was. <- You know how people start hating when they see you're too juiced. Anyway, I have been hearing really bad reviews but I suggest people don't listen to critics, some of my favorite movies had terrible reviews (Scarface) when they first came out or were overlooked and they were classics to me. You guys should be the judge of what YOU see. But believe that I will be triple mad if the movie sucks. I judge hard. Lol. But I hope it is successful for Chris' sake. People have already totally ruined the ending for me though…

If it is so bad these theaters would not be selling out and people would not be going back to see the movie. So oh well. i’ll be damned if any critic keeps me from seeing a movie lol. And Takers is the worst movie of the summer? Really now? Nah I can think of a few that were pretty bad. But hey some of the movie that critics say are the worst are the ones that everybody likes of course. I’d take general publics opinion before I would take a “critics” opinion.

Just went to see takers today for the second time and ended up seing it three times and each time the room was pack with parents, children, teens, whites, blacks, asians. I was soo happy. If parents are willing to bring their kids watch chris movie, and there is all races represented in the room it means for me that America has once for all forgive chris and move on for those who still doubted about it. Takers and The Last Exorcism are battling for first place. But if last Exoricism does get first place it probably helps cuz its shown in more theaters. But then again Horror movies sometime take a decline in the box office after the first day epsically if its not scary and alot of people said the Last Exorcism was dumb. @noodles As usual you find STUFF when it come to Chris. That video, boy – it was a riot . It started like another fake CB theme video, but WOW when CHRIS came into that room i was floored. Never seen Chris lookin so totally embarrassed on camera! At least he was managing a smile.

But an incredible summer for Breezy. BET, Deuces, Takers – all of them real big steps up that climb to the top, to a return to stardom in the public eye, larger than we his die-hard fan club. Takers seems like its the biggest money maker for new releases (tho one close competitor). And my darlin Deuces – #2 on Billboard RnB chart, (Usher #1, for now). Its become SO big. Screw my staions that play it once in a blue moon. I just blast it in my car/CD, open my windows, so EVERYONE can be hearing it. I’m the DeucesCar.
Its all just so exciting. Going so HARD Chris. Keep the momentum going.

And all the interviews, and the comments by the director and the older cast members – they’re sooo sweet to listen too. They all love Chris to the max – at least on camera! – but it seems VERY genuine. THey bring him up even when he’s not the focus of the queston. Check the director’ interview. I never thought Chris would get so much attention for this movie.

He wasn’t an ‘executive’ producer, whatever that means. Neither was T.I. There was a JOKE made in one of the interviews (I think Sucker Free), that Chis WAS the executive director, but they were just having fun.
We still got plenty to brag about on Chris’s behalf – all the other stuff you said and more. He’s so totally back in the game, and winning.

Well, I got interested in understanding this question of producers – and yes, credits do list Chris as an executive producer – but T.I isn’t in that listl Here’s an interview segment from some site called Chicago Now (SORRY about the LONG post, but since we are talking about it….):

Bonnieseye: What is the difference between the Executive Producer, the Chris Brown and Morris Chestnut role and the Producer, you and Will?

“T.I.”: Excellent Question. I don’t want to answer this question trying to minimize anyone’s roles and responsibilities. In film, as far as movies are concerned, the producers are more hands on with everything there is to go from script to screen. Working with the director, the cast, even down to after the film is in the can, editing and scores, things of that nature. If I’m not completely incorrect, I believe the Executive Producer is more responsible for raising the finances.

Will: Traditionally yes, usually in this day and age they are a conduit. They are somebody that brought one particular element, it could be financing, it could be the talent piece, and it could be the script. Somebody that brings an element to the project and says, “I am looking for a producer credit”, or “I’m bringing this because I earn a producer credit”. They will get an Executive Producer credit.

Now I THINK I get it….
